Raíces captures the essence of the Dominican Republic, infusing every piece with the warmth, resilience, and vibrancy that defines the nation. This collection is a narrative, telling stories of the people, their history, and their spirit.
Raíces seeks to express the cultural integration that has given rise to the Dominican identity which consists of a Spanish, African, and Indigenous blend manifested in the figure of the “limé dolls,” reclaiming with them the value of women—their hardworking nature, determination, beauty, and prowess. Each piece combines vibrant colors, abundant light, and minimal shadows, depicting authentic landscapes, figures, and spaces of the Dominican Republic.
